This is the last email message sent on this survey. Again, it was only
sent to people who had not changed the response to the very last
question in the survey to indicate that they were done. By the time
the survey was finally closed, GAO had achieved a 100% response rate (with
the help of a few strategic telephone calls.)

Subject: Survey of Recreational Fee Demonstration Program Officials
TO ALL FEE DEMONSTRATION PROJECT COORDINATORS:
If you've already completed the GAO Internet survey prior to receiving this
e-mail message, thank you for your effort; you need read no further.
This is to let you know that the GAO Internet survey concerning your project's
participation in the fee demonstration program is still in progress. To
increase the rate of response, GAO HAS EXTENDED THE SURVEY DEADLINE UNTIL
APRIL 6, 2001.
As of Friday March 30, 2001, the response rates were:
PERCENT RESPONDING
Bureau of Land Management 78 %
Fish and Wildlife Service 62 %
National Park Service 71 %
US Forest Service 67 %
Total 70 %
For those of you who have yet to complete the survey, please do so as soon as
possible! The information you provide will be presented in a report to
Congress. We want to represent the views of ALL Recreational Fee Demonstration
Projects throughout the 4 agencies, and the only way to do that is if you take
some time to complete the questionnaire.
In previous e-mail messages, GAO provided instructions for accessing the survey
and identified the specific project(s) for which you should respond. If you are
responding for more than one project, please complete a separate response for
each one.
Also, as a reminder, when you have completed the questionnaire, please indicate
this in the last question of the questionnaire. Your answers will not be used
unless you have completed this question.
If you have any questions or experience any problems in accessing the
questionnaire or in how to fill it out, please call or e-mail the following GAO
